Miss Universe 2010: The World's Craziest Costumes!

A few weeks ago, I mocked Miss Australia's national costume but last night,  Miss Universe contestants reached new levels of crazy. I know that costumes are meant to be over-the-top... but they are not meant to be completely weird and atrocious, you know.

Miss Mauritius was dressed in ruffled polyester curtains. Is that a diaper, I see? Don't even get me started with that color combo: I feel nauseous just looking at this bright blue and light green. Such a cute face, such an ugly dress.

If this is the Croatian national costume... I'm a little worried, and I also understand now why a bunch of my male friends always rave about their summer vacations in Croatia. 

That headgear boggles the mind. If anybody knows what it's supposed to be, please let me know. Miss Dominic Republic probably hangs out with Miss Croatia - I mean, look at that whip -

Miss Czech Republic plays piano with her magic glove/sleeve. She's hot. She can fly. And she's also nuts.

Miss Panama shows you how it's done! Feathers, colors, heels, salsa!

Oh and just in case you cared, Miss Mexico won the pageant...
